The Pear will be a one-of-a-kind hatchback-style electric vehicle manufactured in India.
Fisker Automotive has announced that its second vehicle, the Pear, will be released in 2024 at a lower price than its first EV, the Ocean.It was revealed that the car will first be available in the United States for $29,900.
These figures obviously do not include taxes.Fisker intends to build the vehicle in Ohio, where its partner Foxconn has taken over Lordstown Motors’ manufacturing plant.
According to the teaser renders released by the company, the Fisker Pear, unlike the Ocean, is a sporty hatchback.The Pear will be a ground-breaking electric vehicle that will not fit into any existing market segment.”The terror design will include new lighting technology and a wraparound windscreen inspired by glider plane glass canopy enhancing frontal vision,” said Henrik Fisker, Fisker Motors’ chairman and CEO.
Fisker has revealed that the Pear was designed and engineered with a proprietary architecture to reduce parts for rapid, simplified manufacturing.It is also developing the Ocean and a GT car, which it claims will have the longest range of any EV.
Fisker has collaborations with Foxconn and Magna.Both Foxconn and Magna intend to manufacture electric vehicles in India.Fisker has already announced that the Ocean will be launched in India.It has also been revealed that the Pear will be launched in India and will most likely be manufactured in the country, giving it an advantage over global EV players such as Tesla.
