Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 True Wireless Earphones With Unique Ring Design Launched In India

The Wide Area Tap function of the Sony LinkBuds makes it unique that the touch controls operate without actually touching the earpieces.

At a cost of Rs. 19,990, Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 true wireless earphones have been released in India.The new earbuds offer all-day comfort due to their light weight and good call quality while also having an innovative ring design that allows for clear hear-through when worn.In India, the Sony LinkBuds are listed underneath the Sony WF-1000XM4 in the company’s lineup of true wireless earphones. They can also be customised and adjusted using the Sony Headphones Connect app.

Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 price and availability

Priced at Rs. 19,990 in India, the Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 are comparable in cost to the company’s premium WF-1000XM4 earbuds.On August 13, the earbuds will be offered for purchase through both Sony’s online and physical retail channels, including the ShopAtSC website, Sony stores, online shopping websites and big-box electronics retailers.

At a low price of Rs. 14,990, consumers may pre-book the LinkBuds as part of Sony’s earphone launch pre-booking offers.Additional cash-back promotions on some credit and debit cards might lower the cost by as much as Rs. 2,000.Before the earphones go on full sale, the pre-booking period is open from August 4 to August 12.

Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 specifications and features

The ear canal of the user is kept open even when wearing the true wireless earbuds thanks to the innovative ring design of the Sony LinkBuds WF-L900.This enables users to hear sounds around them even when using earphones.Sony further asserts that the design and fit are comfortable enough for all-day use and that the packaging contains five different-sized ear wings for a bespoke fit.Each of the earpieces weighs just 4.1g and the charging case is also rather small and equipped with USB Type-C connectivity.

Along with features like app connectivity via the Sony Headphones Connect app, adaptive volume control, Google Fast Pair, and native voice assistant support for Alexa and Google Assistant, Sony is also touting strong call quality.The LinkBuds WF-touch L900’s controls make use of Sony’s Wide Area Tap technology, which lets you operate the headset’s features without actually touching the earpieces itself by tapping just in front of your ear.

The Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 headset’s battery life is advertised as lasting up to 5.5 hours on the earpieces and an extra 12 hours when charging in the case.Fast charging is also available; it is claimed that a 10-minute charge will provide 90 minutes of earphone listening time.The SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs are supported by the Sony LinkBuds’ Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
