Amazon is establishing a new Consumer Robotics Software Development Centre in Bengaluru to support the company’s Consumer Robotics division.Last year, the Consumer Robotics Division introduced its first robot, Astro.To commemorate the launch of the new site on June 2, the company will host a virtual event called Amazon Device: All About Astro.
Astro is a robot that is powered by artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor technology, voice and edge computing, and is designed to assist customers with a variety of tasks such as home monitoring.

The Amazon Devices: All About Astro event will be a public event that will showcase the development of Astro as well as Amazon’s ongoing work and the future of consumer robotics.At the event, the company will also show off some Astro demo videos.
It is set to take place on June 2 at 9 a.m.
