Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Bounce Infinity, an electric vehicle battery service provider, have partnered.This collaboration will broaden Bounce’s reach to more locations, assisting in the expansion of their battery swapping ecosystem.
The companies have agreed that Bounce Infinity will gradually install its battery swapping stations at Bharat Petroleum fuel stations.The company intends to open 3000 stations in the top ten cities.
According to a joint statement issued by the companies, consumers looking to swap their drained batteries can use the Bounce App to find the nearest swapping location.The new battery swapping stations will support not only the company’s retail business, but also the interoperable partners (2W’s, 3W’s, and other OEM’s) across form factors such as two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
The new battery swapping stations will also accommodate two- and three-wheelers that have been converted from ICE to EV.
BPCL has also improved the fast charging ecosystem by introducing charging stations along highway corridors, beginning with the 900-kilometer Chennai-Trichy-Madurai-Chennai route. The partnership with Bounce Infinity will mark BPCL’s presence in urban markets with a network of battery swapping stations.
The swapping stations at BPCL fuel stations will function similarly to standard fuel stations, but only for EVs.
Customers will be able to swap their near-empty batteries with charged and ready-to-go batteries at the Infinity swapping stations in a matter of minutes.
Bounce Infinity’s energy infrastructure has seen over 1.2 million battery swaps; this collaboration with Bharat Petroleum, which operates a distributed network of more than 20,000 fuel stations, aims to make the battery swapping network accessible to consumers.

Bounce Infinity also began production of the E1 electric scooter from its Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, manufacturing facility.The EV manufacturer has also begun rolling out the E1s from the plant.In December, the company released the E1 electric bike.The company claims that it is on track to meet its customer delivery commitments.
