Moto G42 With Triple Rear Cameras, 20:9 AMOLED Display Launched In India

On Monday, the Moto G42 was introduced in India.The new smartphone is Motorola’s newest offering in the entry-level market.Additionally, it is the Moto G41’s replacement, which debuted in places including Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East last year but was not distributed in India.The Moto G42 has three rear cameras and a 20:9 AMOLED display.The smartphone also features 20W quick charging and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC.The Redmi Note 11, Realme 9i, and Poco M4 Pro are competitors of the Moto G42.Additionally, the Moto G52, which costs only Rs. 500 more and has a basic model price of Rs. 14,499, offers better specifications.

Moto G42 launch deals and price in India

The Moto G42 costs Rs. 13,999 in India for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model.Starting on July 11, the phone will be available for purchase through Flipkart and a few local retail locations as well as in the colours Metallic Rosé and Atlantic Green.

For consumers who use SBI cards, there is a Rs. 1,000 discount included in the Moto G42 launch offerings.Additionally, Jio customers who are on its Rs. 419 plan will receive a bundle of goodies valued at Rs. 2,549 with the phone.

The 4GB + 128GB edition of the Moto G42 cost BRL 1,699 (about Rs. 25,200) when it was first introduced in Brazil last month.

Moto G42 specifications

The 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display on the dual-SIM (Nano) Moto G42 has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. It runs Android 12.The Snapdragon 680 SoC, Adreno 610 GPU, and 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM power the phone.It has a triple back camera arrangement with an f/1.8 lens and a 50-megapixel primary sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and depth camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Moto G42 has a 16-megapixel front-facing selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens for selfies and video calls.

With a dedicated slot, the Moto G42’s 64GB of onboard uMCP storage may be expanded with a microSD card up to 1TB in size.

The Moto G42 offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM radio, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as connectivity options.An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board.Additionally, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Moto G42 features dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos compatibility.The phone has an IP52-rated water-resistant construction.

The Moto G42 comes with a 5,000mAh battery from Motorola that supports 20W TurboPower fast charging and can last for over 30 hours on a single charge (a suitable charger is included in the package).In addition, the phone weighs 174.5 kilos and has dimensions of 160.61 x 73.47 x 8.26mm.
