Pre-orders for the Amazon Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids are now open.
The Amazon Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids next-generation tablets were announced on Wednesday in the United States.
The new tablets, according to Amazon, have twice the RAM and up to 40% more battery life than the previous generation of Fire 7 tablets.
These low-cost tablets have similar specs, including a 7-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1,024×600 pixels.
A protective case with a built-in stand, a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+, and a two-year worry-free guarantee are all included with the Fire 7 Kids.
Price and availability of Amazon Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids
The Amazon Fire 7 is currently available for pre-order for $59.99.
It’s available in three colours: black, denim, and rose.
Meanwhile, the Amazon Fire 7 Kids is available for pre-order starting at $109.99.
A protective case in Blue, Red, or Purple is included with this tablet.
Both of these Amazon tablets will be available for purchase on June 29.
Amazon Fire 7 and Amazon Fire 7 Kids specifications and features
The Amazon Fire 7 and Amazon Fire 7 Kids have identical specs.
They have a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,200×600 pixels and support SD video playback.
These tablets are equipped with a 2GHz CPU and 2GB of RAM, which is not mentioned.
They have storage options of 16GB and 32GB.
There’s also a microSD slot that can hold up to 1TB of data.
The battery on these tablets, according to Amazon, may last up to 10 hours of normal use.
Furthermore, it is believed that fully charging them can take up to 4 hours.
On the front and rear, there are 2-megapixel cameras with HD recording capabilities.
They have a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm jack, volume sliders, and a power button on the right side.
Differences in size and weight are visible.
The Amazon Fire 7 measures 180.68×117.59×9.67mm and weighs around 282g.
The Fire 7 Kids, on the other hand, is 162x201x28mm and weighs roughly 429g.
