Meta has released a slew of new editing tools for Reels on Instagram and Facebook.These features are intended to assist creators in better editing their reels.
Meta has begun to roll out new Reels features on Instagram and Facebook.These features not only provide creators with more editing tools, but also allow them to upload longer videos and even schedule their uploads.
These additions come as the company attempts to compete with TikTok, which Mark Zuckerberg describes as having a “unprecedented level of competition.”
So, here are all of the new features that will be available on Reels on Instagram and Facebook.
Facebook features reels
Reels can be created and scheduled on the desktop
In a blog post, Meta stated that users will be able to create, edit, and publish Facebook Reels from web browsers in addition to iOS and Android.Furthermore, they will be able to schedule their Reels on Facebook.
Reels of Clips
Meta is also releasing a new feature on Facebook’s Desktop app that will allow users to create clips from published, long-form videos and seamlessly edit them into a Facebook Reel using Creator Studio.The company is releasing new editing tools for gaming video creators that will allow them to generate short-form Reels directly from their Live content.”Creators can now cut Live clips down to a vertical-friendly, 60-second format, with dual views for both gameplay and creator cam,” according to the company’s blog post.
New audio equipment
Finally, Meta announced that Facebook Reels now supports voiceovers for user recordings, allowing them to narrate their videos.The company has also introduced a Sound Sync feature, which allows them to sync their video clips to the beat of their favourite song.”You can also use text-to-speech to have one of several digital voices read the text in your reels,” the company added.
Instagram features reels
Videos that last 90 seconds
Instagram has increased the length of a Reel from 60 seconds to 90 seconds, giving creators more time to share their content.
Meta also stated that the most popular Stories stickers will be added to Reels.Among the stickers on the list are poll stickers, quiz stickers, and emoji slider stickers.
According to Meta, Instagram Reels creators can now import their own audio directly within Instagram Reels.
“Use the Import Audio feature to add commentary or a background sound from any video on your camera roll that is at least 5 seconds long,” the company added.
Meta also stated that it will be introducing a feature called templates on Instagram, which will allow users to create their own reel using the same structure as a reel you’ve seen.”When you find a reel you like, tap ‘Use Template’ to bring in the audio and clip sequence.””You can then add and trim your own content to customise it,” Meta wrote.
