In India, the Sony XR OLED A80K TV line has been introduced. The range’s sizes go up to 77 inches.The Cognitive Processor XR powers the Sony Ultra-HD OLED TVs, which are among the priciest and most cutting-edge models the company currently offers in India.The television line also supports Dolby Atmos audio and HDR up to the Dolby Vision format. It also runs Android TV software and has the Google TV user interface.
Sony XR OLED A80K TV price and availability
The Sony XR OLED A80K TV series has been released in three sizes: 55 inches, 65 inches, and 77 inches. All three are Ultra-HD (3840×2160) televisions, and aside from their obvious size differences, they are similar in terms of features and characteristics.Priced at Rs. 2,79,990 for the 65-inch model and Rs. 6,99,900 for the 77-inch model in India, respectively, both of these models are currently on sale in Sony Center stores, electronics retailers, and major e-commerce portals in India.
The pricing of the 55-inch model is still unknown, but it is expected to go on sale in India soon.These televisions compete with recently released models from premium companies like Samsung and LG, including the Samsung QN95B TV series and the LG C2 Evo Smart OLED TV range.

The Cognitive Processor XR, which promises improved and more adaptive performance based on the content and viewing circumstances, is the engine of the Sony XR OLED A80K TV series.The televisions in the line have Ultra-HD (3840×2160) OLED panels and support Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG formats for high dynamic range video.DTS Digital Surround and Dolby Atmos sound formats are also supported.It’s interesting to note that the XR OLED A80K TVs also support additional formats and enhancement capabilities like Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode and IMAX Enhanced.
The A80K series utilises the Google TV user interface on top of the Android TV operating system.The majority of essential apps, including popular streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and others, are supported by the Google Play Store for Android TV.There includes compatibility for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit for connectivity with external devices, as well as Google Chromecast built-in for casting from compatible devices.Through the remote, Google Assistant is also supported natively on the television.
The Sony A80K series incorporates Acoustic Surface Audio and XR Surround technologies for audio, while the 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch models have a combined rated output of 50W and 60W, respectively.The TV supports HDMI 2.1 and up to a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as gaming-specific features including Auto Low-Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Auto Game Mode.
