Vivo Y77 5G With MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC, 50-Megapixel Camera Launched

In Malaysia, Vivo has also made available a model with a Dimensity 810 SoC.

On Friday, Vivo unveiled the Vivo Y77 5G in China, claiming that it was the first smartphone to be sold with a MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC.It is already up for pre-order and will go on sale soon.This phone also has a 50-megapixel dual rear camera arrangement and a 4,500mAh battery, which are both noteworthy features.The Vivo Y77 5G, which the Chinese tech giant also introduced in Malaysia, looks to be a completely different device because it features a Dimensity 810 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery.

The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version of the Vivo Y77 5G is priced at CNY 1,499 (about Rs. 18,000) on the Vivo China website.It costs CNY 1,599 (about Rs. 19,000), CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs. 21,000), and CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 24,000) for variants with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, respectively.It is available in the colours Crystal Black, Crystal Powder (pink), and Crystal Sea (blue).On July 11, the device will be made available for purchase for the first time.

On the other hand, Vivo has introduced the Vivo Y77 5G in Malaysia at MYR 1,299, or roughly Rs. 23,000, for a configuration with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.Starlight Black and Glowing Galaxy are available as colour options.

This device boasts a 6.64-inch LCD IPS screen with a full-HD+ (1,080×2,388) resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.Two touch sampling speeds are also included in the display: a 120Hz Normal Mode and a 240Hz Gaming Mode.The MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC and IMG BXM GPU power the Vivo Y77 5G.It has up to 256GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage and up to 12GB of LPPDR4 RAM.

The phone has two rear cameras, one with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an f/1.8 aperture and the other with a 2-megapixel macro sensor and an f/2.4 aperture.Additionally, a front-facing 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture is there.Both camera systems have the ability to capture full-HD videos.

OriginOS Ocean UI, which is based on Android 12, powers the Vivo Y77 5G.A 4,500mAh battery within it supports 80W Flash Charge quick charging.The smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone connector and a USB Type-C port.Face Wake facial recognition technology and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor are both included for security.The phone is 164.17mm x 75.8mm x 8.59mm thick and weighs roughly 194g.Additionally, Bluetooth v5.3 technology is supported.

In contrast, according to recent leaks, the Malaysian Vivo Y77 5G edition appears to be a different device.A 6.58-inch full-HD+ LCD IPS screen with a 60Hz refresh rate is featured on it.Under the hood is a Dimensity 810 SoC.There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera in addition to a 50-megapixel dual rear camera arrangement.It has a 5,000mAh battery and 18W rapid charging is supported.
