Oppo Reno 8 Series To Feature Dimensity 8100-Max, Dimensity 1300 SoCs

The Oppo Reno 8 series will debut in India on July 18.

On July 18, Oppo Reno 8 and Oppo Reno 8 Pro are scheduled to go on sale in India. In May of this year, these phones have made their debut in China.According to the company, they have various exclusive innovations, such as quick charging, device cooling, and more, along with mediaTek’s newest chipsets. Before these smartphones are introduced in India, the Chinese tech giant has disclosed a number of important details about them.Along with four years of security upgrades, the company has also committed to providing the Oppo Reno 8 series with two yearly updates to the Android operating system.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro, according to the firm, would use a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC instead of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC found in the Oppo model introduced in China in May.It has ARM Cortex-A78 2.85GHz processor cores and a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU.The HyperEngine 5.0 and Imagiq ISP technologies from MediaTek are built within the chipset.Users can photograph simultaneously from the front and rear cameras thanks to its ability to support two cameras. For powerful AI performance, the Dimensity 8100-Max also includes MediaTek’s APU 580 technology.

On the other hand, the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC included in the Oppo Reno 8 represents a major improvement over the Dimensity 900 SoC found in the Oppo Reno 7’s predecessor.Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 3GHz are found in the octa-core Dimensity 1300 SoC.The gaming technology HyperEngine 5.0 is also included in this chipset.Additionally, 4K HDR recording is supported, which is said to provide up to 40% greater dynamic range than normal HDR.

The Dimensity 1300 and Dimensity 8100-Max both offer 5G connectivity.Additionally, MediaTek MiraVision with improved HDR10+ video playback is present. These chipsets even have the ability to instantly convert ordinary SDR footage to HDR using AI Video technology.

The Oppo Reno 8 series also supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, which is marketed as having an 11-minute charge time that can extend battery life by up to 50%.The Battery Health Engine and five-layer charging protection are features of these phones that extend the battery’s life and keep it safe.

The Ultra-Conductive Cooling System is another feature of the Reno 8 Pro that helps it stay at the right temperature while playing games, watching videos, and taking pictures.A Super-Conductive VC Liquid Cooling System included in the Reno 8 is touted to provide 16.8% more cover than the system found in the Reno 7.Additionally, these smartphones have been certified with the TÜV SÜD 36-Month Fluency Rating A Mark for up to 36 months of trouble-free operation.

The Oppo Reno 8 series is set to launch in India on July 18 at 6pm.
