The tech industry’s most recent attempt to assist software developers in writing code was disclosed by Amazon on Thursday.
At a business conference in Las Vegas, Swami Sivasubramanian, a vice president at Amazon’s cloud division, described the service, named Amazon CodeWhisperer, which searches for security and bias issues in web developers’ projects as well as offers programming advice.
Machine learning (ML) is used to power the recently released CodeWhisperer service by Amazon. It makes the claim that by producing code recommendations, it can increase developer productivity.According to AWS’s information, these recommendations will be based on developers’ code in the integrated development environment and their comments in natural language (IDE).
Multiple programming languages, frameworks, software libraries, and well-known cloud services are all allegedly taken care of by CodeWhisperer while a developer is creating code. The algorithm selects the user’s command and selects the most appropriate cloud service and public libraries for the requested task. Then it provides a code example right there in the source code editor.
Additionally, developers can protect their scripts by utilising CodeWhisperer to find vulnerabilities in their projects and responsibly create applications.
Additionally, the business disclosed that it is actively working on and anticipates having ready support for the AWS Lambda Console very soon.
