Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro With 5G, Wi-Fi 6E Compatibility Unveiled, To Go On Sale Starting July

The South Korean electronics giant debuted the Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro on Monday.According to Samsung, it is the first rugged smartphone capable of supporting 5G.The 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen of the Galaxy XCover6 Pro is standard.It supports up to 128GB of extra storage via microSD and 6GB of RAM.A USB-C cable and no charger are included with the Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro bundle.An 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel primary camera will be included in the smartphone’s dual camera configuration.

Availability of the Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro

Samsung has not yet provided any details regarding the Galaxy XCover6 Pro’s price.The smartphone will, however, be made available beginning in July in a few areas in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.According to earlier reports, the smartphone will debut on July 13.

Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro specifications

The Galaxy XCover6 Pro was launched by Samsung on Wednesday in a formal announcement.The primary display of the smartphone is a 6.6-inch PLS LCD with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, Victus+.It has the IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.The Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro is 235 grammes heavy and measures 168.8mmx79.9mmx9.9mm in total.

According to earlier rumours, the Samsung smartphone has a Snapdragon 778G SoC, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage through microSD.Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy XCover6 Pro would have a 4,050 mAh battery, as was previously reported.

The Galaxy XCover6 Pro’s design specifications leaked earlier, showing the device to have power and volume buttons on the right side and a SIM tray on the left side, encircled by a red border.An optional microSD card is also believed to be included with the smartphone, providing additional storage.Samsung claims that the phone is the first XCover series device to enable 5G networking.Support for Wi-Fi 6E is one of the additional connectivity options.

The smartphone has a dual camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, for both photographs and videos.The front of the Galaxy XCover6 Pro offers a 13-megapixel selfie camera that is concealed under a waterdrop notch.The phone’s operating system is Android 12 with OneUI installed on top of it.

The smartphone, which was rumoured to have visited the FFC website in early June, was described as the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro’s replacement and was scheduled to launch in 2020.
